I never thought that I would be a stay at home mom. I always knew I would have a kid or two one day if I found the right man to be my team mate for life. I was thinking that would probably be in my late twenties after I had traveled the world. Thats why I was a little sulky when I met my now husband when I was just a year out of high school. There was this moment when we were first dating where I got this huge impression that I was suppose to marry him. And Im so glad I did. Three years later we had our first child and now we have been married for fourteen years and have four beautiful babies. We have discovered the world together and each one of our children have enriched our lives beyond anything we can imagine.
I never thought I would be so into motherhood but Im so grateful that I got the chance to explore being a stay at home mom. There were moment where it can be really tough but I found that if I remind myself that there was more than one way to be a good mother and to focus on enjoying my time while on this domestic journey that not only was I able to get through the hurdles but I thrived. Thats why Im so passionate about spreading positivity about motherhood and full time moms. It feels like in a world full of materialistic ideas and messages that the value of what women are doing in the quietness of their own homes is being marginalized. I want women and daughters everywhere to know that motherhood is awesome! That motherhood is fun and rewarding. I want them to know that even though motherhood is a very serious business and shouldn’t be taken lightly, that there are far more up’s than down’s. But most importantly I want them to know that each one of them have something very unique and special to give to their children and family and that there is more than one way to be a mom, and a happy mom at that.
