I was inspired by some cute little paper teepee’s made by kids I saw on line the other day. And decided to make this tee-pee centerpiece in substitution for a cornucopia. This has been a fun decoration in our home. My boys keep moving it around the house to different display locations. They are pretty proud of it.
I made mine out of a white poster board and just added some sticks, fabric, paint and a few feathers. What’s fun about this is that you can make it about any size you want. If you made them small enough they would make cute name place holders around your thanksgiving table. The possibilities are endless.
Directions:
- Start by rolling the top end of the poster board up and when you have the tee-pee shape you want tape it down with packing tape or hot glue it.
- You should have a triangle opening at the bottom you can glue two triangular pieces of fabric too to look like door flaps.
- Glue the ends your sticks to the inside of the top of the tee-pee. You can use a strip of fabric to tie the sticks together.
- Now go ahead and paint on your designs and add any other embellishment you want.
I hope you have a lot of fun with this one.
