Reading On A Blanket Outside

I don’t know about most of you, but our summers are short her in Utah. I like to take advantage of the sunny weather while I can. This is a great family activity for so many reasons. First it promotes reading in young children but also its a great bonding experience, plus if your kids are outdoors that mean they are not indoors… breaking things.

• Each family member should pick out a book they would like to share with the family
• Have your kids spread out a blanket in the backyard
• Bring Snacks
• And take turns reading the first page of each book.

This is also a great idea for older play dates, family home evening, or little get-together’s for your kids and their friends.
