So I recently made this vision board as an assignment four my Strategies for success class that I am taking at college right now. And I have really come to see the value in it. In this class we learned that “man” has to believe that he or she has a future, that there is something to live for or we basically curl up and die or live an completely meaningless life of diversions. So it’s not only important to plan our futures but to also see and visualize our futures and that is where a vision board comes into play.
“Don’t Be Pushed By Your Problems, Be Lead By Your Dreams”
How many times do we let our situations and problems determine the paths and decisions we make instead of creating the life we want. Sure life is unpredictable but we have more control over our destinies than you might think. For instance the power to control your own outlook and attitude on life and situations. No one can ever take that decision away from you.
In “Man’s search for meaning” by the famous psychiatric Viktor E. Frankle we learn that man basically only needs two things for his life to have meaning and that’s Love and a Dream. So why not put your love’s and dreams out there and reach for them.

Here are some fun examples
I actually loved the process of making my own vision board in just my kind of style (graphic designer and all) I am actually going to have my whole family make their own vision boards tonight. If they let me, I’ll take pictures and share them with you guys. My strategies for success teacher says that this is a great activity to do with kids. It helps them to create more direction in their own lives. I think this would be a great yearly thing to do with my kids, or to create extra blank space to let them fill it in over the years.
