Western Rollups- Recipe (Not Spicy)

June 1, 2010

I know what your thinking, and yes… they are as tasty as they look!
I thought about naming this recipe “The happy situation” because I thought this was such a yummy combo of flavors. Plus its a super simple one to make. So here you go…
Makes 16
Pre-heat oven: 375 F.
Need:
4- medium fresh jalapenos
8 slices of cooked bacon
1 can of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
8oz block of mozzarella cheese
1. Wash jalapenos thoroughly. Remove stems from chilies. Cut each in half lengthwise and again horizontally to make 4 pieces. Remove and discard seeds (this removes the heat).
2. Slice the 8oz block of mozzarella cheese evenly into 16 pieces. Cut bacon strips in half making 16 pieces. Wrap pepper and cheese with the bacon.
 3. Unroll dough. Separate dough into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle in half.
4.Place bacon roll up at the largest end of dough triangle and roll the combination to the end. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Continue this for each of the roll ups.
5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
                Enjoy!
