I made this fun scavenger hunt check-list for my boys a few weeks ago when they had some days off school and I needed to come up with something quick for them to do so I could finish my homework but at the same time I wanted it to be fun and memorable. For the prize I got them each a small new lego set to win when they had successfully complete all the items and to-do’s on the list. They easily could do all the tasks without any help and finished just under an hour each. It was cool seeing all the things they collected and accomplished on their own. They even ended up saving their bark rubbings and various nature specimens in sandwich baggies to keep and admire over for later.
This is a great activity to get your kids up and out being active and using their imaginations at the same time. This would also be great to print out for play-dates or just when they have a friend come over.
I changed a few things on the original list to make it less tailored to my six and seven year old boys and fancied it up a bit with some fun illustraition. I thought a fun “Up” theme would be perfect.
