A firm favorite in many states Chowder, or thick seafood soup, is great when you’ve got impromptu guests as it only takes twenty-five minutes to cook. It’s also velvety smooth, classically flavored and looks far more impressive than it actually is. Warning, before preparing this dish do make absolutely sure that none of your diners are allergic to shellfish or any seafood. Grab a large pot, pop a cube of butter in and add celery, onion, bay leaf, dill, salt, and pepper. Pop in your potatoes and sauté for a couple of minutes before bringing the pot to the boil, then cover and reduce the heat while you prepare the seafood element of the dish. Mix the two together while checking that the fish flakes nicely off the fork before removing from the hot stovetop. Ladle into cute nautical themed bowls accompanied by hunks of crusty white bread and sit back as your hungry flock devour every drop!
