A Trio Of Fantastic Family Feasts
You’re sitting at the kitchen table, probably relaxing and enjoying a snack, giving yourself five minutes to just enjoy the quiet when all of a sudden the door slams open. The kids are back from school; they’ve all brought friends over, and now you’re wondering what on earth do I cook for dinner?

All American Lasagne
This dish is perfect as it involves quite a few of the ingredients you’re likely to have already in your cupboard or fridge such as onions, garlic, cheese, and ground beef. Simply add the meat to the pan, browning it nicely, before choosing a good sharp knife such as those from Cut It Fine to chop the onion and garlic plus your selected herbs and tomatoes. Boil your noodles and then drain before making your ricotta cheese sauce. Cover the bottom of your baking dish with a spoonful of noodles, before layering the meat, noodle and sauce mixture into the dish finishing with cheese sauce before popping in the oven for thirty minutes. Why not serve your piece de resistance with lovely golden brown garlic bread and a three bean salad?

Homemade Mac N Cheese
Who doesn’t love crispy melted cheese and al dente golden pasta covered in a thick cheese sauce served with a fresh spring salad? Mac N Cheese is so famous that you can even get boxed versions, but we find that homemade just tastes so much better. Is it because it’s made with love? The secret ingredient in the sauce? Or the fun shaped pasta Mom always uses? Who knows, we just know it tastes wonderful. To create this family favorite, you’re going to need butter, macaroni, cheddar and parmesan cheese and milk. Start by making a roux, add the milk and then the cheese stirring smoothly before cooking the macaroni and transferring into an oven proof dish. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta and give it a good stir before creating your butter breadcrumb topping and sprinkle with paprika. Bake for thirty minutes and serve with a lovely feta, avocado, or sun-dried tomato salad.

Simple Seafood Chowder

A firm favorite in many states Chowder, or thick seafood soup, is great when you’ve got impromptu guests as it only takes twenty-five minutes to cook. It’s also velvety smooth, classically flavored and looks far more impressive than it actually is. Warning, before preparing this dish do make absolutely sure that none of your diners are allergic to shellfish or any seafood. Grab a large pot, pop a cube of butter in and add celery, onion, bay leaf, dill, salt, and pepper. Pop in your potatoes and sauté for a couple of minutes before bringing the pot to the boil, then cover and reduce the heat while you prepare the seafood element of the dish. Mix the two together while checking that the fish flakes nicely off the fork before removing from the hot stovetop. Ladle into cute nautical themed bowls accompanied by hunks of crusty white bread and sit back as your hungry flock devour every drop!
