We had to secretly make these the other day while dad was at work. Its been quite the feat to keep the kids from telling dad what we made. I was inspired to make these from a craft that I had seen off of One Pretty Thing. She had made these with hand prints and let her kids color them in. I have two boys ages 4 and 5 so I thought it would be neat to trace each one of there feet and split up the saying “Following In Your Footsteps”. Its extra meaningful to our family because this line comes from a very special poem my boys gave their dad last year.
Need: paper, shrink film, key chain ring, permanent markers, whole punch, scissors and an oven to bake it in.
1. Trace your kids feet on regular paper first. When you have traced your child’s foot onto the paper that when you go ahead and add the text or images that you want so you have everything where you want it. Place the shrink film over your design on paper and trace your design with permanent markers.
2. When your finish tracing your design to the shrink film. Cut it out. Next punch a whole where the your key chain ring will go. Bake according to your shirk film instructions.
I hope you have fun with this one.
