Hyrum & Mellissa Winter Wedding (Springville Museum of Art) Photo Session

These two love birds surprised everyone at their wedding/reception by secretly getting married the night before for time and all eternity in the Provo UT Temple. They announced the news at their wedding reception at the Springville Museum of Art to the surprise of many of their guest. The guest erupted in cheers for the happy new couple.

What a great way to start off a wedding reception. It made my job of capturing those smiles a lot easier. I have never photographed a winter wedding before and tried to prepare as much as I could. I was a little nervous at first and then I feel in love with the snow laced backgrounds and moody romantic snow clouds. Who knew photographing a winter wedding could be so fun!

The Historic Springville Museum of Art has plenty of big windows with lots of lighting for great indoor shots, and they have a covered patio outside that is darling with its old style charm. So with a great combination of a stunning venue and laid back adorable newly weds, this job was no job at all. Just lots of laughter and genuine moments now captured for history.
