You don’t have to be any kind of artist to make this fun tree wall mural. Its really very easy.
I have been redoing the family room for a while now. Silhouette murals give a great custom look and are great when needing to fill in large wall spaces. So I thought you might like to know how to paint your own tree mural with some easy tips.
Here is my before:
and After:
- I great way to design your room and to know what colors will look together is to create your own design board. You can get great tips to creating your own design board from the previous post I did on it here.
This is the one I created over a year ago.
I keep it handy so I know what I’m aiming for as I pick up odds and ends here and there.
- Painting a dark colored mural is easier than painting light on dark. You wont have to go over it several times so its no longer transparent. Black paint is the quickest to work with.
- Draw your mural on with pencil first. You can erase any mistakes easier than having to cover up paint.
- Create from inspiration. Even the greats need to draw from a source. So go hunting on the internet for some great tree silhouette murals. Than print them out to have with you as a reference to where you should be putting what.
Here are some fun ones to help get your creative juices flowing.
